Marcus L. Ellison
Senior Pastor
Pastor Marcus L. Ellison is a native of Farmerville, LA. He is married to the love of his life, TaSheka Morris-Ellison, and they are the proud parents of one daughter, Morgan LaDawn Ellison. Mrs. Ellison is the Payroll Manager for Caddo Parrish School System. Morgan is an eigth-grade student at Caddo Middle Magnet.
In February 2006, Pastor Ellison joined the ministerial staff of the Avenue Baptist Church in Shreveport, where C. L. Hicks Sr. serves as pastor. Pastor Ellison served as Minister of Young Adult Ministries. In July of 2012, Pastor Ellison was installed as Pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Greenwood. Under his leadership, the church has grown numerically, financially, and spiritually. In 2016, Mt. Olive Baptist Church constructed a new 18,000-sq. ft. Multi-Purpose Facility. On December 31, 2016, the church celebrated its entrance and dedication of the new facility.
Pastor Ellison has a strong desire to study and teach the Word of God. He is a strong advocate for higher learning. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the B.M.A. Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, TX in 2009 and a Masters of Arts in Religion from B.M.A. in 2010. On May 14, 2011, Pastor Ellison received a Master's of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA; where he also earned his Doctorate of Ministry Degree.
Pastor Ellison is grateful for the opportunity that God has given him to serve as Pastor/Teacher of the Mt. Olive B.C. of Greenwood, La. His motto is “To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required.”

Cortney T. McCall
Youth Pastor
Minister Cortney T. McCall, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, is the son of Sharon McCall James and Lee James Sr. He is a proud graduate of Woodlawn High School. He attended Louisiana Tech University where he became a member of the Pi Delta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ashford University. He holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Louisiana College, and a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Theology from Baptist Missionary Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, TX.
Minister McCall received his calling at the age of nine, preached his first sermon at ten, and only through the grace of God, he has been preaching for 24 years. Cortney has always had a sincere passion for education, training and encouraging our youth, as well as leading them towards the road less taken in life today. Minister McCall is currently an Administrative Assistant at Mansfield Elementary School in Mansfield, LA, and serves as Youth Pastor at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Greenwood under the leadership of Pastor Marcus Ellison. His grandparents, the late Elnora White McCall and Elmo McCall Sr. played a significant role in his life and ministry.
He strives daily to live up to the Christian values that they instilled in him. Though he does not have any children yet, he stands firm on and takes the responsibility of Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Minister McCall is married to his best friend, his inspiration, Mrs. Brytni Yavaughn McCall.

Charles Carey
Associate Pastor
Minister Charles D. Carey, Sr. is the son of Gertha Carey Williams and Willie Carey. He is married to Denise Carey and they have been blessed with five children and a number of grandchildren who bring him much joy and many blessings. Minister Carey answered his call to the ministry while at Little Union Baptist Church in September 1998 and preached his first sermon in October 1998. All this under the leadership of Pastor C. E. McLain.
Later Minister Carey was appointed as Children and Youth Minister and God blessed that department with the growth of an abundance of active youth, eager to learn and serve. In 2011 he joined St. Davis Baptist Church where he was appointed and served as the Youth Minister.
Minister Carey graduated from Captain Shreve High School and went on to study at Grambling State University. He received his B.S. and Masters Degree in Theology from United Baptist Theological Seminary and Bible College. His favorite scripture in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
